SYNOPSIS: 
Nicole returns to her remote coastal village to care for her grandmother, Yaya.   As her daily village routine and her connection to Afro-Caribbean spirituality deepens, strange events transpire: Yaya falls into a dying state after Nicole finds a mysterious black churruca. Caught between life and death, the village prepares for a religious festival, and Nicole faces the blurred line between reality and the spiritual.
