SYNOPSIS: 
Nicole returns to her hometown after her mother's death to bury her ashes and close a chapter in her life. Upon arrival, she discovers that her grandmother is ill and that the town faces a threat from gentrification. While dealing with grief, she is stalked by “The Familiar,” an entity linked to the town's ancestral past. Nicole discovers that her family has a mystical lineage and that she must assume the role of leader.  Along the way, she must confront the pain of loss, free her grandmother's spirit and restore peace to the village.
